A plant native to subtropical regions, it is found mainly in India, China, Indonesia, South Africa and Madagascar. It has been used for more than 3000 years in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines in the treatment of skin conditions and for its action on microcirculation.
The leaves contain carbohydrates, phenolic compounds (flavonoids, tannins) or also triterpenes specific to this plant, called CAST (Centella asiatica Selected Triterpenes). Among the CAST, there are Asiaticoside and Madecasoside, whose virtues have been amply demonstrated.
Centella asiatica has healing, anti-inflammatory, restructuring and venoprotective properties. It is sometimes used in dermatology to promote healing and regenerate the skin

Ammonium lactate contains 14% lactic acid neutralized with ammonium hydroxide. It is an ammonium salt of an alpha-hydroxy acid that works by deeply hydrating the skin.
Ammonium lactate provides relief to irritated and dry skin by increasing the moisture content of the stratum corneum layer of the skin functioning as hygroscopic compounds, absorbing and distributing relatively large volumes of water. In addition to providing symptomatic relief from dry skin, ammonium lactate reduces excessive epidermal keratinization in patients with ichthyosis, a genetic disorder usually characterized by dry, thick, scaly or peeling skin. On the other hand, a 1989 study carried out at the Dermatology Branch of the National Cancer Institute showed that ammonium lactate could also treat large inflammatory cysts and abscesses.
Antiseptic and disinfectant belonging to the biguanidine family. Effective against a wide range of gram-positive, gram-negative, aerobic, anaerobic and yeast bacteria. Ideal antiseptic for washing mucous membranes, wounds and burns. It disinfects the skin and mucous membranes without causing irritation, it does not stain.
At low concentrations, it acts bacteriostatically, altering the osmotic balance of the bacteria. At high concentrations, its bactericidal action is due to the precipitation of proteins and nucleic acids.
